Chapter.01The Origin of ROVAL
ROVAL is called “Cold Galvanizing” because it can provide an equivalent anti-corrosion performance of hot-dip galvanizing without high temperature processing.
This Chapter introduces the characteristics and applications of ROVAL.
ROVAL is ready-to-use, single pack type compound.
It can be applied by brush, roller, conventional spray, and airless spray as well as other conventional paints.
This chapter introduces the important 3 points of application.
ROVAL protects steel with electrochemical reaction, whereas conventional paint provides barrier protection.
This chapter visually explains how ROVAL’s anti-corrosion mechanism is different from others.
To compare ROVAL’s performance with other anti-corrosion paints, we conducted the comparison test in Miyakojima.
These results show ROVAL protects steel from rust creepage even when the film is damaged.
Also, we conducted a comparison test of ROVAL with hot-dip galvanizing.
From these results, you can see ROVAL has equivalent anti-corrosion performance of hot-dip galvanizing.
